Arlington-based Daktari Diagnostics Raises $2.5 Million in Venture Capital

Arlington, Mass. - Daktari Diagnostics, an
Arlington-based developer of point-of-care diagnostics, has raised $2.5 million
in a venture capital deal, according to a new filing by the company with the
Securities and Exchange Commission. Founded last year, Daktari has
developed a very inexpensive, hand-held device that tests blood in six minutes
to determine whether a person requires treatment for AIDS. The product is
intended for developing societies.
