Waltham, Mass. - Raytheon, the Waltham-based defense
contractor, announced on Thursday that it has been awarded a $7 million
follow-on contract from the Office of Naval Research for work on the
Compound Semiconductor Materials on Silicon (COSMOS) program. Funded by the
Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the contract will
focus on improving the yield and integration density of compound semiconductor
and silicon complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) transistors
fabricated on the same silicon wafer.

Waltham-based Raytheon Awarded IT Contract with EPA for up to $955
Million

Waltham, Mass. - Raytheon, the Waltham-based
technology giant, announced on Wednesday that the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded the company an IT services contract with
a ceiling value of $955 million. Under the contract, Raytheon will help the
Office of Environmental Information provide a broad range of IT services to
support secure information exchange, data analysis, scientific investigation and
decision-making by the government and the environmental community. The contract
further expands Raytheon's existing environmental services, which include remote
sensing, data management and geographic information systems at multiple EPA
ecology research laboratories across the country.
