Job Description
SCA,
America's #1 conservation service organization, seeks a Project Leader
for the SCA Massachusetts Corps based in Leominster, MA. The Project
Leader will oversee operational and administrative aspects of the
6-month conservation corps, a 10-member residential program.
This is a seasonal position.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee
two 5-member trail crews; Provide supervision and technical and
logistical support while working side-by-side with corps members in the
field; Oversee the design and implementation of community volunteer
service events; Provide support, counsel, and advice to corps members;
Actively participate in residential community including attending
weekly community meetings; Serve as primary contact for program
partners; Conduct evaluative site visits; Complete general program
administrative duties shared by all staff

Program Dates:

January 25 to August 20, 2010.

Salary:
Salary based on experience. Room provided.

Skill Requirements
Qualifications:



  • Significant trail crew experience, minimum of 7months

  • Minimum 21 years of age

  • Possess High School diploma, Bachelors degree preferred

  • Chainsaw certification and carpentry experience preferred

  • Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification needed

  • Community organizing skills and strong capacity to work in a team

  • Proven supervisory and organizational skills

  • Experience living and working in a residential setting preferred

  • Valid driver's license and MVR that meets SCA standards required

  • Ability to meet SCA's criminal background check standards


•Willingness to travel regionally
