Position with a growing R&D

company, that is well funded, finding solutions to the next generation

of threats to this country. They do advanced development in EW, comms

and radar systems. This position is located at a satellite design

center, near Washington , DC . 

Seeking a Senior Digital Design Engineer to support a wide variety of
radio frequency (RF) communication, EW and radar development efforts.
The candidate should be qualified to lead technical efforts and
supervise junior staff members.

 

Responsibilities:

Support requirements analysis, develop performance specifications, and

allocate requirements among hardware and firmware/software subsystems

 

. Design, develop, test, and integrate circuits using power-efficient techniques

 

. Design, develop, test, and integrate circuits with digital signal
processing (DSP) and micro controller products such as, the Texas
Instruments TMS320-series and MSP430-series devices

 

. Design, develop, test, and integrate circuits involving both field
programmable gate arrays (FPGA) and complex programmable logic devices
(CPLD)

Prepare schematic diagrams using tools such as OrCad, generate

netlists, and design rule checks (DRC); create bill of materials (BOM)

for submission to PCB layout and assembly vendors

 

. Test and debug circuitry through the use of tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.

 

. Serve as a task lead and mentor for junior digital design engineers

 

Requirements:

 

. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering; a master's degree is a plus.

 

. A minimum of ten years experience with digital hardware design with DSP and FPGAs

 

. Experience with RF communication subsystems such as digital
modulators, demodulators, carrier and symbol tracking loops, etc. is
highly desirable

 Must be a U.S. Citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation
