As you know, I am a recruiter. I specialize in a specific niche,
analytics. I have been in this industry in one way or the other since
1981. This is the first time I've seen it hit by downsizing like all
others. I noticed it start to change last fall.

 
While I used to have 20-30 positions open at a time, this year
I've had very few and most of those were put on hold shortly after I
started working them. I've found that for the first half of this year,
companies have been reluctant to pull the trigger.

 
I wanted you all to know that this week, I 've noticed an uptick
in the number of jobs posted (again, this is for my niche) AND my phone
started ringing yesterday with job orders. I am hopeful we are coming
out of this.

I know most of you have been looking for quite some time and are
frustrated. You need to refresh yourself and get ready... things are
picking up.

If you need to, take time now to rest up and rejuvenate to get
your mood and strength up... You want to be able to go on interviews
with a positive attitude, not desperate..

 

We will get through this....

 

August has always been my busiest month. Don't fool yourself into
thinking it will be quiet. Companies are getting ready to hire for 4th
quarter...


Don't get discouraged. Things are getting better......
