Clinical Content Developer


ProfSoft
is currently looking for candidates to develop and maintain clinical
content in its ProfSoft Standards and Guidelines Engine application.
This position offers you the opportunity to get paid to study the
scientific literature and apply it within our innovative data mining
software. You will help our medical director and other clinical staff
to define criteria that identify gaps in patient care and other
indicators of health risks in patients. You will review clinical
literature from sources like UpToDate, Journal Watch, and specialty
society practice guidelines, identify which recommendations from those
sources can be measured using administrative data, and the design and
testing of those measures. The position is ideally suited for someone
who wants and/or needs to review the latest clinical standards either
for personal/professional development or to study for medical exams.


Responsibilities

Develop and maintain quality indicators across multiple specialties
Monitor
the clinical literature for new developments that either suggest new
quality indicators or modifications to existing indicators,
Identify and create clinical alarms that suggest a patient is at high risk of catastrophic medical events,
Identify and create clinical alerts for case managers and other care management staff, particularly focusing on gaps in care,
Maintain the company's existing measures for changes in diagnosis, procedure, and drug codes


Additional responsibilities are likely to emerge depending on the capabilities of the successful candidate.


About the Position

This
is a full-time, permanent position though part-time candidates will be
considered in a job-sharing arrangement. It is open to candidates with
diverse backgrounds including physicians, international medical
graduates, pharmacists, physician assistants, residents, and others.
Candidates must have U.S. Work authorization. Pay will be commensurate
with qualifications. Benefits include company paid medical and dental
insurance, short-term and long-term disability, vacation time, 401K,
and more. The position will be in the company's Needham, MA offices
along Route 128.
