Westwood, Mass. - Turbine Inc., a Westwood-based
developer of online games, has raised $50 million in its fourth round of venture
capital, according to a new filing by the company with the Securities and
Exchange Commission. Founded over ten years ago, Turbine has created several
popular Internet games, including Asheron's Call, Dungeons & Dragons Online,
Stormreach, and The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. The company
employs about 200 people.
