Contract Java Developer: Portsmouth, NH area

Summary:  TEKsystems has an excellent contract opportunity for an experienced Java Developer. This position will require someone to have knowledge and prior experiences doing the following tasks:

Finalize requirements

Design the application

Develop the application

Produce test plans and required design documentation of the application

Coordinate all testing of the application

Provide all installation instructions working with the Java WebSphere admins/IIS admins

The project is part of an initiative that our client is undertaking to design a web based application that will use Windows authentication for security in addition to Primavera Security (making API calls). The application will extract data from Primavera, store in new Oracle tables. Users will update some data (transactions stamped with User ID). The changes are reviewed, archived, and then sent back to Primavera. The application needs to be zero footprint if possible. There will be at least 5 reports - which can be as simple as displaying the information on another web page.

The following skills will be utilized in the development or be part of the existing technological environment:

Web application development using Java - will need to use grid controls at a minimum

Java

Experience working with off the shelf software API's

Oracle

PL/SQL

Stored Procedures

TOAD

Eclipse

WebSphere

IIS

Need analytical skills, design skills (be creative to produce a nice/user friendly application)
