Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop user centered designs for a web application that lets users manipulate large volumes of data using an easy, intuitive interface.
2. Quickly prototype ideas and develop wireframes.
3. Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1. Fluency in PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash, or similar user interface software.
2. Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX, etc.
3. Successfully communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and specifics of user centered design process.
4. Collaborate effectively with others in a cross-functional team.
5. Awareness of recent trends in UI design among other popular websites.
6. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
7. Strong analytical and detail skills.
8. Good organizational/
9. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
10. Ability to work with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
11. Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Factors or Human Computer Interaction is a big plus.
2. 1-2 years experience required.
3. Recent graduates are welcome to apply provided prior UI design experience.
