Staff Accountant: Southborough, MA

My client global distributor and marketer of durable health care and home environment products principally is looking for a two year staff accoutnant to join the team. 

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

•Playing a role in ensuring timely and accurate financial closings of the U.S. and North American ledgers
•Account reconciliations, and account analysis as well as documenting and evaluating current procedures.
•Assisting in delivering quality business performance analysis relevant in managing the profitability goals of the organization
•Assisting in improving the integrity of the underlying financial data by ensuring that all transactions are captured efficiently, accurately, and timely
•Assisting in improving the efficiency of the finance operations by recommending ways to eliminate non-value-added work and leveraging technology
•Assisting in developing, implementing, and maintaining, a program of internal controls similar to the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley
•Special projects as assigned
