Director of Nursing for Skilled Nursing Facility (Westborough MA)

We are currently recruiting for a proven and experienced Director of
Nursing (DON) in long term care for our skilled nursing facility in
Westborough MA. This is a 152 bed family owned facility, which just
received an excellent survey (JCAHO) and is very proud of their 98% low
census rating.




Essential job functions:




•Participating in facility surveys made by authorized governmental agencies


•Oversee the employee health program in cooperation with the Medical Director and Staff Development Coordinator.


•Monitor the Weekly Level of Care Report, Dietary Consultant Report, Pharmacy Consultant Report and take appropriate actions


•Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, hire and direct the nursing services


•Organize, develop and direct the administration and resident care of the nursing service department

•Head up, conduct, participate in Department Supervisor Meetings,
Resident Care Plan Meetings, Budget Committee Meetings, Safety
Committee Meetings, Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee
Meetings, In-service Education, Family Council, Staff Meetings etc.,
and any other meetings as directed by the Administrator

•Be responsible for all nursing care functions


•Make sure the department is in compliance with corporate, State and Federal policies


•Make rounds with physician




Requirements:


•Strong leader


•DON experience is a must


•Will supervise 140 employee's 90 pt/ft CNA's 50 RN/LPN's
