Folks,
I'm looking for a few volunteers who are interested in helping make this site significantly better. In particular, I'm looking for folks who will help to design this site so that it really keeps job seekers on their toes and making progress.
I'm also looking for 1-2 people who could be admins and help communicate with job seekers to help them. e.g., resume reviews, live Q&A, etc.
Let me know if you're interested and have the time.
Best,
Dan.

I can help too Dan!
Harold and Betsy,
I'll send you a message about ways you can help, but there's 3 things I'm looking for:
1. What would make this site matter significantly to you as a job seeker and to other job seekers? The site is heavily "informational" now and I believe there may be greater value if we orient it towards process. For example, if we set it up with a 5 stage process: career planning, job search, networking and interviewing, and getting hired we could help step people through the process.
2. I'm looking for Facebook/LinkedIn/Twitter widgets we could add that would add value to the job seeker experience on the site. Specifically, I'm trying to find a way where we can see everyone's name, targeted job title/industry, and a status update on what they're doing. That way we can more easily make connections between where people are, what they want, and be able to help them more readily.
3. I'm looking for folks to help increase dialogue among members of the group.
Oh, and I couldn't forget the need for us to enhance the site to take into consideration the emotional lifecycle of job seekers. I'm interested in people's ideas on that.
Thank you for your stepping up, let's see if we can build something that works for everyone.
Best,
Dan.
Harold and Betsy,
We've been experimenting with FriendFeed as a beta test for a tool to keep track of members job search status. What I'd like to ask the two of you to do is to try using it - only posting 2 things each time you update: 1. The target job title you want, and 2. Your current job search activity (e.g., Target Company: EMC, or researching working at Fidelity, or 2nd Interview with Target, etc.). What we want to see is what difference it makes when members can see others activities.
Make sense?
Best,
Dan.
Still need more volunteers if others are interested...

On it Dan! I've posted and I'll keep updating. Nothing seems to be moving too fast, so it's not looking like there will be frequent posts!
