What's the workscape look like in the 21st century? No one knows.
I talk to economists and workforce development leaders every day and I
hear things like "Green, Healthcare, Education, and Community
Service." Or from my niche friends I hear "Advanced
Manufacturing" or "IT." But truth be told, something major
is changing. Richard Florida predicts the rise
of the Creative Class - and what he says makes sense. Tom
Davenport predicts the rise of the knowledge worker. I
respect both of these gentlemen. I add to their predictions 2 predictions
of my own.
1. We are entering into an age of massive entrepreneurialism, and
2. We are entering into the Age of the Relationship.
